Our business model is unique and grounded in the concepts of a learning organisation. The core elements are based around aligning people growth and development with the strategic direction of the business. We believe that a culture of personal growth and development leads to engagement and are the foundations with which organisational excellence should be built upon.
Why become a learning organisation?
In most organisations the core theme is about being productive. Management focus their attention on planning, co-ordinating and controlling with the main goal to produce – goods or services. The “doing work” part and the “learning” part tend to be two separate constructs, and learning only takes place after the work has been done and if the resources are available to facilitate the learning. A learning organisation re-centres learning as the core theme by connecting it with the productivity, performance and continuous improvement. A learning culture is seen as an essential construct of the company at the individual, group and organisational level – this is what sits at the core of a learning organisation and what differentiates it from a more traditional organisation.

There is a common misconception that Business Coaching is used by MD’s, Senior Executives or Managers who are struggling and need help. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Most of our clients are doing an OK or, more often than not, doing a great job. They have built solid profitable businesses and are usually perceived as high performers. What separates them from the crowd is that they have decided to become even better. They have got excited about running a great company and becoming an outstanding business leader.
In our experience most people who reach their true potential work with a coach. CTD business partners’ suite of leadership assessment tools provides a view of leadership from the individual and the organisational perspective. We believe leadership development is a journey that unpacks and improves over time and ultimately together with knowledge, positively impacts performance. We work with leaders to help them define their journey and support them along the way.
While many assessment tools are quick to define “the right way to lead” CTD’s philosophy is firmly grounded in the research-based knowledge that true leaders take many forms. The old discussion “are leaders born or developed” is no longer a discussion – neither is correct! Leaders draw on a combination of assets and strengths demonstrating that there is no single “right” way to lead.
We take leaders and managers through a suite of assessments over a period of personal coaching that develops a leader’s ability to reflect and become more self-aware - expanding both individual and organisational development.

We are specialists in systems thinking and believe that the parts of an organisation are best understood in the context of relationships with each other and with other parts, rather than in isolation. This is why, when we engage with a client, we look at the whole organisation before we engage in any diagnostics. Our proven methodology allows us to see the patterns and diagnose the solutions.
We are specialists in organisational culture, strategy, marketing and operations. We capture value across boundaries and between the silos of any organisation. We have proven a multiplier effect from optimising the sum of the parts, not just the individual pieces - we think systems first, then solutions!
